HOMIES: TIME AND CONFUSION CHAPTER 6!! FO SHIZZLE!This is the start of Patrick (Stump- Fall Out Boy)'s story and it's a pretty long chapter XD It doesn't have really anything to do with what's happend so far but it will all come together soon XD Chapter 6- Tell me what you thought about when you were gone and so alone… Patrick’s P.O.V “Pete! Wait up!” I grabbed his shoulder, puffing profoundly. He spun around and smiled at my worn out state. “Why are we walking so fast? We don’t have to be anywhere for another half hour! I could be…” “Sitting on the bus on your computer, being anti- social?” Damn I hate it when he does that. I tried my hardest to give him the best death glare I could muster. “You love it when I’m right” I also hate it when he reads my mind. I guess the death glare didn’t work because he’s showing me that cheesy smile of his. “So anyway, where are you taking me?” “Well it was going to be a surprise, but since you asked…you remember my cousin Bec? The one you were like in love with…” I could tell my cheeks were red from the sudden burning sensation from them aroused by the mention of her name. Damn. “I was not in love with her, you just assumed I was!” “Whatever, I asked her to come today since it’s her hometown and I haven’t seen her in ages. Thought you two could catch up reminiscing about old times….” He’s got his arm over my shoulder and is using his hands in front of him as if demonstrating something. He’s such an idiot sometimes….why is he nudging me? Oh and winking, how mature Pete. “Pete I don’t think this is such a…” “BEC! Great to see you! Come give me a hug, Jack let her through she’s my cousin,” My eyes fixated of the girl standing in front of me. Except she’s not a girl anymore, she’s definitely a woman now. She’s changed so much. Man I haven’t seen her in at least six years. Okay I have to stop lying to myself it’s been just over 6 years since I’ve seen her properly and around 7 since I spoke more than two words to her. She’s grown a bit, her once black hair is now a light auburn and her smile…just like Pete’s hasn’t changed one bit. Just as gorgeous as I remember. “Patrick it’s been what five…six years? It’s great to see you again!” Before I could collect my jaw off the ground she engulfed me in a bear hug. Catching me off guard slightly, I keep my balance. “Yeah Bec, it’s been way to long” Is all I manage to stutter out. “Strawberry, I’m going to show Bec around, you coming?” Eyeing Pete I groan. I hate how he still calls me that. “HAHAHA Pete you still call Trick that?!” Bec laughed hysterically, “It’s so adorable! Strawberry!” “Hmmm Petey Pie, I’m not sure maybe you and BRAbecca want to catch up…” I knew they both hated those names. Revenge is sweet…and amusing. “Trick I can’t believe you remember those names! We were what like twelve or thirteen when we came up with those!” Her smile was infectious, just how I remember. I remember hanging out with her back in the day. If it wasn’t for Bec being related to Pete, she and I probably wouldn’t have met. She never would have moved to my town if it wasn’t for Pete and his family. Bec lived in the street behind me and we were friends since she moved to *Flashback* *3rd person P.O.V* “Patrick! Can you come here please? CHARLIE! Charlie take the play dough out of your mouth right now! No! Don’t throw it at Emily!” Miss Linton yelled over the class of six year olds. Patrick put down his blue crayon and walked over to his worn out teacher and smiled while waiting patiently. “Patrick this is Rebecca, She’s just moved here from a place called “Well she’s going to be joining our class. Would you like to go show her the reading corner?” Patrick nodded again pushing his glasses back up so he could see out of them clearly. Miss Linton gently pushed them towards the reading corner as she walked into the other direction. “Chase! What did I tell you about poking Jessica?” Miss Linton walked towards the disaster zone across the other side of the room. “No, she doesn’t like it….Then why is she crying? Go to the time out chair right now!” Miss Linton yelled at a little blonde haired boy while going to console the hysterical Jessica. Meanwhile Patrick and Rebecca were standing awkwardly in the reading corner. Patrick re-adjusted the baseball cap sitting atop his head. “Well this is the reading corner…and here are our books…” Rebecca looked up at the shy boy and smiled. He began turning a light shade of pink. “Ooooo! Patrick has a girlfriend!” Yelled three little boys who were poking their heads over the top of the tiny bookcase. “I do not!” He rebutted. “You’re going to get kooties!” Yelled one “And then they’ll put you in the zoo!” Yelled another “You can live with the smelly monkeys!” They all yelled. Patrick clenched his fists. “Leave him alone! You boy’s are smelly and silly!” Shouted Rebecca in Patrick’s defence. The three boys ran away shouting Chimpanzee noises and laughing with each other. Patrick looked up at Rebecca re-adjusting his cap again and she just smiled at him sweetly. From that moment on they were destined to be best friends. *End Flashback* “Dude…dude…Patrick…snap out of it….PATRICK!” Pete shook me furiously. “What the hell are you doing?” He laughed at me as if it was obvious. “Dude you were totally out of it! C’mon we’re going to the bus, unless you’d rather go back to la la land?” He thought he was hilarious and apparently Bec did to. I followed the pair, still lost in thought until we reached the bus. “Arrg! We only have two Coke’s left! I thought Joe was picking some up?” He looked at me and I just shrugged. “You two have them; I’ll be back once I kill Joe. Start building the coffin while I’m gone will ya?” “Sure thing, we’ll get right on it” I replied as he saluted and stormed out of sight. I turned to face Bec. Awkward, though she smiled at my awkwardness. “It’s been so long Patrick, like six, seven, eight years? I can’t even count! That’s just horrible” “Yeah, I’m sorry. It’s just been…hectic?” “Well I know we haven’t really spoken since that…night, but we are both older and more matured and I’m definitely over it. So much has happened since then, you have to fill me in on your ‘oh so famous life’!” Oh that ‘night’. I remember that night as if it was yesterday… *Flashback* *Patrick’s P.O.V* “Patrick I can’t believe schools over and you’re leaving in two days! Things are going to be so different!” Bec spoke with such excitement in her voice but things’ being different is the understatement of the century. In only two more days I will have packed my bags and be in a van travelling across the country with Pete and the rest of the band trying to catch our lucky break. I’m so excited about playing shows country wide, but there’s just one thing I’m leaving behind. Well more of one person. Rebecca. “What are you going to do once the guys and I leave?” “Hmm I dunno, I guess I could go to college. I got into a few but I don’t know if it’s what I really want to do…” “You should come with us…I’m sure there’s room. If not we can make room!” She just laughed at me. I’m going to miss these nights. Us just lying on the roof of my house looking up at the sky, talking about anything and everything. These are the times I’m going to miss most. “Patrick, you and I both know there’s not enough room for me. There’s hardly enough room for you guys! I’ll just be sure to come to all your shows, I promise” I knew she’d keep her promise, promises meant everything to her. Leaving here was going to be tough. Not seeing Bec was going to be tougher. Now’s my perfect chance to tell her how I feel, the feeling’s I’ve been holding in since age twelve. Since I figured out these feelings weren’t just hormones. Now’s my chance. “Hey Rebecca…” She turned her head to look at me. “What’s Trick?” Do it, tell her. Don’t you dare chicken out Patrick Martin Stumph! “I umm…I just wanted to…” Just kiss her! Okay now’s my chance….lean… *Bam* Ouch! Damn it! “Why did you just head but me? Was that supposed to be funny, was that what you had to “tell me”?” Now I’ve blown it. “No…I…I’m sorry…I just…” “Patrick…” “Rebecca…” “Patrick…It’s getting late. I should really go…” Now I’ve completely ruined the moment! “I’ll see you tomorrow, at your going away party…” Now she’s walking away! “Wait! Bec…” Good she’s stopped. Now here’s my…second chance. “Patrick I…” I stopped her with a kiss, but it’s not the way I planned. I feel her hands on my chest, but not in the loving accepting way. She’s pushing me away from her. I knew this was a bad idea. I look at her waiting, but she just turns around and walks off. “Bec…wait don’t go…I’m sorry…Bec please…” it’s too late. She’s already down the lattice and off to her own house. Now I’ve stuffed things up, our friendship is probably ruined. This was not the farewell I planned… *End Flashback* The night has replayed in my mind repeatedly and every time it’s just as vivid. I haven’t spoken to her since that night. She didn’t come to the going away party and she didn’t speak to me the day I left. She just said goodbye to Pete and the others and left. I never expected the kiss to have such a huge effect on her… “Oh…that ‘night’...” I looked down at my shoes. “Sorry” “Trick, don’t apologise…If anyone should be saying sorry it should be me. I never should have just walked off, I should have turned up to the going away party and I shouldn’t have just ignored you the day you left. I’ve been kicking myself for the past six or so years.” I could tell it was tough for her to admit that…I still feel so guilty though. “I am truly sorry though…” “Trick don’t say sorry, stop beating your self up about it. It was ages ago, old news.” Not in my mind it wasn’t, but I could tell she didn’t want to go into it. “Yeah…sure. So what have you been up to the past eight years?” Bec leaned back into the couch in thought. “Well…” She started while scratching her head on the left side just above her ear. She would always do that when she was deep in thought. “Since you left and the rest of the guys left the place was pretty much empty ha ha. Nah I ended up going to college for a bit. Didn’t really enjoy it so I left. Travelled for about a year or so and then went back home to my parents. I moved out of there house after a week of being back, they bicker a lot more in their old age and I needed more space. I got a pretty cool studio apartment with a nice view of “So trick, I hear you’re bands doing alright huh?” “Ha-ha yeah we make just enough to pay the rent and maybe feed the cat…” “Oh you have a cat? Cool” She knew my sarcasm all to well. “Well not exactly, I think I’m actually allergic to cats…but yeah we do alright. I get to do what I love everyday of my life. Can’t complain.” “So you’re the same old Patrick who was always shy to ask a girl to dance, always spent his time in his room making music and was really bad at skating?” Hmm how does she remember? “Well I never asked a girl to dance because I always predicted the answer… and if I recall you were often in my room helping and watching me create that music and hey! My skating wasn’t that bad!” “Are …you… serious?” she exclaimed in-between choking on her drink. “Patrick I’d hate to tell you but you were…to put it bluntly…shit!” she begun laughing. “As if! I was not!” “Do you remember how you broke your wrist twice and dislocated your shoulder?” I nodded “You did that when you were only standing on the board hardly even moving! You sucked bad dude, admit it!” Arrg! How does she still remember? “Fine, whatever” she is still laughing. Punching my shoulder lightly she gives me a massive smile. Her smile is identical to Pete’s. “Patrick…you who…Patrick…earth to Patrick…” Bec was waving her hand frantically in front of my face. I couldn’t help but smile. She stared at me then took her hand in mine and my heart began to race. “Trick there’s something I need to tell you…” Oh no what?! “What is it?” AKWARD SILENCE! “I.....broke the string on your acoustic guitar like two days before that night on the roof and that’s why I packed it and put it in the case for you so you would never find out and I’m sorry for not telling you but I knew it was your favourite guitar and I knew you’d be so mad but I hope you don’t mind now because you probably have a million guitars with good and working strings…he he…” I don’t think she took one breath. “Wait what?! You were the one that broke my string! I’ve been blaming Joe for that for the past eight years! He was messing with it in the van and was like ‘Oh Patrick you’re a string is broken’ and I though he broke it an tried to say it was already broken as a cover up! I can’t believe it was you!” “Yeah sorry bout that….” “I think I have to apologise to Joe…I still bring up the broken string thing all the time to make him feel guilty….shit….” “Hah he’ll get over it! But anyway there is something I have to tell you…but this is actually serious” Fun’s over, I knew it was too good to last. “Shoot” “Well the reason I actually stoped talking to you and avoided you was….” ____________________________ DUN DUN DUN! *insert creepy music here* XD hope you liked it...the next chapter is Josh and Hayley but I haven't written them as being "together"...I think I'm going to put them with different but large characters in the story XD mix it up a little.
